I declare myself a Youtuber.
The author recognizes the help of a loyal reader. Armando made me realize that I was commiting a mistake, and instead of turning my videos to minutes, I did it for hours. I beg your pardon readers, and thanks Arturo for showing me what a "miserable ignorant I've become through the years..."
Not long ago I realized that I'm a youtube addict. I heard from a friend of mine that he had watched 500 videos. After that, I got into my account and saw that terrible numbrer "3115"
Oh sweet Lord, I Confess I've watched 3115 videos on Youtube!
Do you really know what does that mean? With an average lenght of 5 minutes each (I'm sure I'm kepping it low), I've been here for at least 15575 minutes/259hours/10.81days. That represents:
- Watching 29 times the trilogy of "Lord of the Rings" (by the way one of my favorite movies).
- Watching 26 times the five movies of "Harry Potter."
- With an average of 4 minutes per page, I could've read the bible 4.21 times, (923pgs).
- Last time I ran around the Campus I spent 9.35 min. That would give me aprox. 1,665 times running around the UDLA.
Do we need more? I don't think so. After getting aware of this situation, I've decided not to watch so many videos from now on, (I don't even want to imagine the time wasted on msn since highschool). I must start rehab. like I did when I quit smoking. Life's still long when you're 22, and I'll try to use my time in a smarter way. Concluding with this, I have asked myself: "Myself? Have you learned something from all these hours wasted? Could you chose one video as the best from all of them? And you know somethin'? I can. I leave you now with this video, it's very cool!
PS. I would like to clarify that even If I've written about God, and now you'll be watching this video, doesn't make me a religious freak nor a positive guy. I do have a lot of crap inside my head lately. Enjoy...

Por cierto, no creo que sea buena idea dejar YouTube, sería como no pertenecer a esta era
Pues he quedado perplejo al enterarme la cantidad de videos que has visto; sorprendente! Pero hay algo que aun no me cuadra; si 3,115 videos vistos con un promedio de 5 minutos por video, resultando 15,575 minutos que divididos entre 60 minutos (60 min. = 1 hr.) resultan 259 horas con 35 minutos. La trilogia del Señor de los anillos aproximadamente dura 641 min./60 min = 10 hrs 41 min. esto es aproximadamente haber visto 26 veces la trilogia completa y no las 1,730 veces; ya que esa cantidad es aproximadamente equivalente a estar sentado sin despegarse un segundi viendo la trilogia por 2 años 1 mes con 10 dias 2 hrs. y 10 mins. Lo mismo con harry Potter, con la Biblia y las vueltas al campus...Moraleja: realizar conversiones antes de efectuar operaciones. Saludos.

Well, youtube phenomenon is one of the greatest in Internet history; why do you think Google ran and bought it right away? Oportunity, oportunity!!! I don't think you are losing that much time, as you think.
First of all, you missed by saying "15,575 hours" when you referred to minutes. Anyway, armando gave the right numbers.
Second, as consequence of first, 10.75 days aprox. of watching is not thaaat much, considering how long you have been member of youtube (more than half a year, I presume).
Finally, it's knowledge man. Well, maybe not everything, but most of it has taught you something. Images and sound, after all, is a very good way to get things stick in your brain.
Now re-think about what you've done in YouTube. Was it that much of a loss?
Concuerdo con que Youtube es una de los fenómenos más adictivos que existen (ese y los blogs que poco a poco ganan terreno). Confieso también haber pasado gran cantidad de tiempo -desgraciadamente no la he cronometrado, que sería interesante ver quien gana jajaja- viendo cuanto video me encuentro.
En fin, un cordial saludo y a ver si un día de estos nos juntamos y nos tomamos unas copas.
